cake pops.......
As you can see i posted a picture of some 'Cake pops 'and i thought this weekend ill give them a try !!! could it be that hard ? its only cake on a stick !!!! I love the idea of all the different decorations you could do.
I'll post a link to a website called 'Bakearella' im sure they founded the amazing idea . I know Topshop Bath had them at the new store opening and ive been told they were very good....im going to look into doing a few diffent flavours with lots of bright coloured icing .
Just a quick note about my up and comming orders....

march 9th .beach themed cake for my aunite carols bday.( having suprise dinner at Harrys grill) cant wait

This is my basic cupcake recipe and never lets me down ! I double this so i have a larger mix
Ingredients
For the sponge
- 200 g softened butter
- 150 g caster sugar
- 50 g brown sugar
- extract of 1 vanilla pod
- 4 sized eggs-free range
- 200 g self rasing flour
- 10 g baking powder
Toast is a new cafe in Honinton Devon..I will be testing out there cupcakes as soon as poss ...

Housed within the beautifully decorated Yarrow Interiors, Kate McCaig and Becks Reed are working with owner James Yarrow to offer a distinctive and delicious addition to the town's burgeoning food and drink scene.
Many will recognise Kate and Becks from The Holt, a little lower down the High Street. For the last five years Kate has been head pastry chef while Becks has overseen front of house.
So its a start of a new year and I'm getting more cake orders all the time.....but I'm not complaining......
I'm learning new techniques for my next cake already . Ive also been watching the new season of Cake Boss ( Discovery real time 9.00pm ) , i do love that programme !! Last week they created a cake for the Oprah magazine 10th year anniversary. I would love to recreate it but with Vogue magazines so watch this space. I will post some of my favorite cakes from the show on here soon !!!
